About

I’m a Canadian composer, musician and performer with over 20 years of experience creating music that connects, inspires, and tells stories. My work spans songwriting, live performance, and original compositions for film and visual media, blending genres from folk and rock to pop and country. I aim to craft music that resonates emotionally, whether on stage, in a recording, or on screen.

I began my career as HarpAcash, the front person of a signed band, touring extensively and honing my craft in both performance and the studio. That foundation led to a solo career, with releases including W/U (2022), When I Looked at Everything (2023), and Stood There Alone (2024), as well as EPs and LPs under Latent Recordings and HarpAcash and the Morals. I’ve performed at festivals and venues including NXNE, CMW, Songwriters Series, and Sofar Sounds in Toronto and New York City, and opened for artists such as The Strumbellas, Jully Black, Basia Bulat, Elliot Brood, and Cowboy Junkies.

In film, I’ve composed music for shorts and documentaries including My Fighter (Best Composer, Toronto International Woman Film Festival, Best Composer, Montreal Women Film Festival) Now Is Not a Good Time (Official Selection, IFFSA), Head First (Official Selection, Toronto Lift Off Film Festival 2024), and There’s No Place Like Home (Official Selection, Ottawa Youth Film Festival). Across these projects, I strive to create scores that amplify story, mood, and emotion.

Beyond performing and composing, I’m deeply committed to nurturing creativity in others. I’ve taught piano, vocal performance and  vocal coaching, served as a judge for emerging artists at the Troubadour Music Festival, and curated music programming for community festivals like EcoFest Barrie. I also founded and managed a D.I.Y. arts collective, booking live music and multidisciplinary art events, building inclusive creative communities, and overseeing logistics, promotion, and event production.

A graduate in audio engineering from Trebas Institute, I bring technical expertise to every project, with experience in recording, production, sound design, ADR, SFX, and post-production using Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Cubase. Whether composing, performing, or mentoring, my goal is to create music that lingers, connects, and leaves a lasting impression.
